Blossoms blooming wow
Anika
Grab a handful for my mum
Too many to hold
Small flowers of Spring
Ethan
helplessly swaying in wind
Hanging onto life
colours all a blur
Beck Wolski (aka Mum)
infant blooms in every hue
bright kaleidoscope
These haiku were written by Beck and her kids for the AHS ‘spring flowers’ haiku competition. Spring postcard photos and design by Beck Wolski 2026

It’s well worth reading the placed and commended poems and the judges’ comments!

Awesome haikus, but, here, I like Beck’s piece the most. I also read the contest results, and the poems were really very nice. My favorites were Edwina’s and Jane’s; they’re very vivid. 👍☺️

Thanks for reading! I agree that winning orchid poem was stunning. My second favourite is the one with ultrasound image & budding cherry by Mariette
