Nicely done, C! 👍 I’ve never seen this plant before. The insect was walking on its petals.

Thanks Y! It was such a bizarre plant! It’s supposed to smell bad for the first 24 hours after it opens, but I couldn’t smell anything…

You’re most welcome, C! It really is a bizarre one, and it gives off a bad smell. I wouldn’t want to plant one…

these kinds of things draw a lot of visitors to botanical gardens here in Oz

That’s great 👍 I guess they really like attracting visitors…

It’s good for people to enjoy nature and feel connected to it

I completely agree. Enjoying nature and feeling connected to it is very great, and it lets us pause to appreciate its beauty. 👍☺️

and also, we’re more likely to care for it when we feel connected, and to fight for its protection

I completely agree about protecting plants. It’s really important that they be protected. 👍☺️

plants, animals, the whole biosphere…we need to reduce energy use and fossil fuel use

I totally agree with you. We need to be conservative by reducing usage. I always turn everything off, and only turn things on when they’re really needed.

That’s why we travelled for 3 days by train instead of 3 hours by plane. It was actually more expensive though

You’re most welcome. While I was in high school, I used to go home by bus. But, I didn’t like the smell of a burning gas that somehow found its way inside, so I had to take a shower. Also, I don’t like air pollution.

That sounds like a lot

I agree, that’s too much for me. I’m glad that electricity-powered cars started appearing since last year in my country. Before, it was all fuel-powered.

I have a very sensitive nose as well

Mine is less sensitive, but it still doesn’t like those awful smells. My nose is also sensitive to too much black pepper.

I’m guessing that bus was run on diesel…it has a very strong smell
LikeLiked by 1 person
I guess so. I’ve seen some of them even emit black smoke from the bottom of the bus, and that pollutes the air!

Yes, sounds like diesel to me. We have some cars like that here. My grandfather had an awful one

You’re right, that bus was indeed using diesel. Modern buses that I’ve seen don’t emit such smoke, but I can imagine it’s powered by fuel.

Do you sneeze a lot from pepper?

Yes, I do only as soon as I put the pepper. However, I no longer sneeze if I wait.

Interesting! Some must be in the air at first

Indeed! My nose picks up those that are in the air if I breathe right after putting pepper to my dish, and it makes me sneeze.

At first, I thought it was a black licorice ice cream in a cone.
I must be hungry.
