A fur seal on Terri-Gull Beach
woz sunbathin’ just out o’ reach
I turns to me mam
I sez, “geez, that looks fun”
so we goes up, an’ duzzin ‘e screeech!

Written for Deadlines for Writers’ August poetry prompt.
P.S. This piece is just a bit of fun. I didn’t, and you should never, approach a wild seal — it’s especially dangerous to get between them and the sea, as they can feel like you’ve blocked off their escape route. Stay further than 40 metres away from an adult seals and for baby seals 80 metres. Leave them in peace to rest and recuperate.
