Driving the kids to school

I saw two tiny dinosaurs
out the corner of my eye
silhouetted on the sky
like birds on a wire.

One morphed
into a crested pigeon,
the other stayed reptilian
and the kids didn’t see.

      1. Good. The secret’s intact!

        Actually, my girls get suspicious when I “make an oopsie” and let it slip that I saw something. So they start hunting around to see what else they can find that I might have overlooked. They might be middle schoolers, but they still like that game.
