“As she fell, her mind wandered”

Inspired by Rebecca Miller‘s six-word story in the title

Deborah didn’t notice the broken railing until a strong gust blew her right past it and over the edge. She’d been wandering along the clifftop path for hours, lost in thought.

Her mind continued to wander as she fell, but its pencil was sharper now, just a swift sketch of her life’s main events—then pulverised graphite.
