I’m curious about your process. Do you cruise your bookshelves? Do you have a theme in mind? Or does one present itself with titles that jump out at you?

Jess, this was a prompt from Kit Kelen’s Flying Islands year of nonstop poetry…
I just look at my bookshelves and jot down titles that appeal to me on a page of my notebook, then look at the words in the notebook and see if any seem to go well together. If I need something else once I have something going, I might go back to the shelf again
