Poems from the comments

I love it when people respond to my work with little poems of their own. Here’s a selection from Drager Meurtant:

“Nothing but good words for the dead”
said the cynical poet, about the word ‘peace’.

*

I must admit to be afraid of deep water
and green that may harbor
toxic creatures
and dreams

*

Some seniors watch the traffic in the street from the window
of a 2nd floor apartment, whereas I sit on hips and look
at ants along a fallen branch and the next on their way to
the beach which they climb to watch the earth from above.

*

centimeter meets decimeter
and they eat the meter nibbling
the time…

*

To cry is a quality I lost decades ago.
But I agree with the poet that in the grave lie dead remnants only,
and the words that remind us of the ‘anima’
in the wind or rain
is where our mind may go for remembrance.

*

this inner voice
or second nature
shouts as hard as can be
to silence my pessimism

*

yes / yes / yes / yes / yes / yes / yes / yes
