A collaboration between Nolcha Fox1
and Catherin J Pascal Dunk
Lovely glasses, hiding
boldly in another spot.
I adore you, that is why
I once again forgot you.
And you, keys —
despite your jingle
jangling my nerves —
are Quite Important.
I have more excuses
than spare glasses.
I should hide my keys
and go back to bed,
rest my migrained head; imagine
how lovely it is to be dead,
responsible for nothing, no one —
taking the longest rest, instead.
The dogs aren’t having it.
They’ll never let me die.
Somebody must wait on them.
Apparently, that’s me.
Hubby’s getting het up too,
while my keys and glasses laugh —
I guess I’ll have to just stay up;
keep marching! find those specs!
