Tit for Tatt

A collaboration by
Catherin J Pascal Dunk
and Mimmalisa Trifilò1

Unalome’s flexed path,
the lotus jewel born in mud —
formlessness, carved in form.

Vessel contained within
birth, beyond the beginning.

This design sparks joy —
but is my yoga sankalpa
really sans culpa, or

just more of that unappealing
bogan appropriation?

Some contemplation —
a brazen belief in deeds
beyond daily consumption …

But — since tattoos are forever —
best be certain, best be sure.

Catherin’s new (and first!) tattoo, @fsctattooandbarber. The design was modified from Roberto Gemori’s art at www.tattootribes.com
