Feelings, nothing more than Feelings

Sing a song that’s happy,
make a sound that’s glad;

write four and twenty kind words
of greeting in a card.

Now sing a song of sorrow,
pack it full of grief;

chalk four and twenty mad words,
graffiti on a wall.

Let out all your anger,
give up all your hate;

Join up with the blackbirds,
in case it’s not too late.
