Ars poetica

A poem should be
intense,
ploughing the mind;
dense;
ambivalent as fuck;
short.

There will be words in a row;
often, a bird.

It should echo through
the universe;
report, like a gun;
whisper, confidential.

It should play!
be shared,
spoken, sung;
cause delight—
horror.

It must be strident,
unforgettable;
hard
to surpass.
