Affirmation poem

Let the heart be loving.
Let the mind be still.
Let every thought inside me find its nest;
fly sweetly, fleetly, towards this world.

I have a story that I
have never told.

Once, when I was unfledged,
I looked up at the leaves and saw the
mealybugs, and knew
that I was a curiosity; made of awe.

I am still
a curiosity made of awe.
