Whatever Jambeau’s motivation had been for kidnapping and blindfolding Marguerite had been, she was not to know. 

Nor how he had known Celeste was her sister, and was here, drugged. So many questions remained.

But pyjama-model, pyjama-clad Jam simply stepped past the journalist and her newly unbucketed sister. 

He just left the warehouse. Propped the door open with a loose brick. Disappeared without another word—no eye contact; no gesture; nothing. 

Odd fish. 

At least they were free.

Somewhere. Some warehouse in the 11th.

Brandon de Bras woke with a start, from a dream about falling.

After the shock of that, a slow smile crept upon him as he remembered her. Marguerite. His daisy. Dare he hope that one day she might return even a fraction of his feelings? He fancies there might be a slow shift taking place. And he can wait.

He’s been giving her space. Hasn’t seen her since the morning after he took her home, put her to bed, and slept on her sofa. He’d checked she was ok before sneaking out. Hadn’t wanted to scare her, or bother her.

But today feels like a fresh beginning. Might it be time, to reach out again?
