I woke this morning torn
from a complex dream
tangling my best and worst parts—
they sort of fought it out;
and I was caught, too—
better to follow those threads
or dive headfirst in my day?

Best not to think too much about the contents of dreams. Just enjoy that second life.

If you don’t catch those dreams right away, they disappear, although sometimes they come back suddenly unexpectedly. The day is always waiting. (K)

As Kerfe says, the dreams slip away as soon as you open your eyes, unless they are so vivid you can’t shake them off!

Catherin, that last question feels so real to me — that tug between “follow those threads” and just diving in. I get that pull.
I’m so glad that you joined the W3 prompt!
