Episode 17

“I really thought that was going to be my life forever,” Celeste admits to her sister as her mind emerges from her bizarre reality, bucket on head, talking to dead people, believing she was gone forever. Kept in a fog of a drug-haze by Javier and his henchmen, Celeste has been absent for more time than she can account for. Has it been hours, or days? 

“You’re going to need a shit ton of therapy, sis. But god, I’m so glad to see you. When my brain chip went silent, I started to really worry…” Marguerite pulls her sister in for a wobbly bear hug. 

“And, ah … you don’t mind if I sell your story, hein?”

“Whatever,” mutters Celeste, clearly disoriented. “But ’ow did you find me?”

“It was that odd Jammy Beau person. Although…” 

Remembering now how she’d been kidnapped and blindfolded, Marguerite felt a sudden twinge of doubt they’d be allowed to leave. A captive police inspector and a journalist simply walking away from a drug-filled warehouse? Yeah that happened every day.

Jambeau, who’d been giving them some space, chose that moment to step forward. Which might have felt menacing, if it were not for his odd garmentation.
