I upgraded my WordPress account recently and now that I have much better analytics, I can see where you are, readers!
I was blown away by the number of countries and cities represented. People literally all over the world have been reading my work and that of my darling guest poets! On every continent!

It was pretty obvious to me that the bulk of my readers would be in Australia, but I was fascinated to note that, after Sydney and Melbourne, folx in Montréal and Victoria (both in Canada), and Amsterdam were the next-most consumers of my content.

I’ve been to both Montréal (because I speak French) and Victoria (because I have family just across the border) and adored both places. Amsterdam is still on my wishlist. Pretty high up, too!
I’ve met two great people from Amsterdam through my blogging, one of whom I’ve collaborated with—producing some of my finest work. Thank you Drager!
Anyway, thank you all the peepl over this wide worldscape who are reading my work and that of my guests. Especially at those times when no one else did (Soni, Jacques, The Mad Puppeteer, Brie, Elly, Gill, Nuno and Jess, I’m thinking of you here).
For all those dedicated subscribers who read my emails but are unable to like or comment on the posts for various WordPress-related reasons, thank you all too. If you see something you like, shoot me off an email sometime? It makes such a huge difference to know someone is out there engaging with my words. That I in fact do have An Audience, largely invisible though it may be.
Heart ewes1 all.
- This is my preferred spelling for You (plural), Yous, Youse, the name for a female sheep, of which we have plenty down under. US usage tends to prefer y’all.
