Cats are excellent problem solvers and would certainly do a much better job of ruling the world than you-know-who, if given the chance. Do you have a cat? Perhaps you’d like to share your thoughts on this assertion in the comments below!
This week my poem 4.30AM was published on Edge of Humanity online magazine (my sixth on that fine institution).
In honour of the occasion, I’ve added audio and some background notes to my original post, plus a new photo of the protagonist here.
Not coincidentally, I’m posting this reblog at around 4.30AM. Lilly has been out all night (the shame!)1 and just got me to let her into the house for breakfast.
Fun fact: cats are not nocturnal but crepuscular, meaning they’re more active around dawn and dusk.
