Unlooked places

by guest poet Jessica Perini

As I spotted these under a tree I thought, how lovely.
I picked them up.
Dropped them
Retraced my steps
found them again.
Even seemingly dead things have
purpose
light
presence.
Be mindful always.
Care to look in unlooked places
Beauty abounds
even under our crushing feet.
