When it’s clear as mud

We should Always
Speak Up About Abuse.
If we don’t,
we’re Complicit.

But
what if that abuse
is by a loved one
and they ask
you
to stay silent?
And they question
your judgement
sanity
motives
goodness—
when you already doubted
these somewhat—
as they well know?

Would you still
be confident,
then,
to speak up?
