Through

A renga collaboration by guest poet
Katie Persephone Ryder & Catherin J Pascal Dunk1

Open sky, blue, white;
Rolling, tumbling, on their way,
Motionless in speed.

Water vapour droplets cloud
together and drift apart.

Deep wide dark Ocean
Tumbling Rolling over under through;
Secrets lie silent.

What brick-bound evidence rots
in zones light never bothers?

Tears tearing down walls,
Rivers clear off embankments;
Drain apprehension.

Acid rain clears urban smut;
Graffiti dissolves and flows.

Black blocks overhead,
Smoothly slide under, take off;
below, Safely still.

Feeling is dark, until light
Come up from below, then bright.

Breathe, recoup, advance,
Stand atop accomplishment,
Forsee future wins

Celebrate every lil thing—
Adulting, wearing some bling!
